1983 DeTomaso Pantera GT5

#THPNAG09261
Owned by Jørn C. Olsen
2770 Jaren, Norway

Last updated on July 02, 2006
Built in September 1982 and sold in January 1983 in Germany.
Original exterior colour: Black with black leather inside.
Options: Exhaust pipes, brakes and engine in GR3 version. Big rear wing. Golden painted wheels and golden side scripts.

The car was imported to Norway in 1986 and I bought it in 1997. It has now 71.000 km. I have changed the whole floor and side channels on both sides (rust). It has been repainted
red (was still black when I got it). The 351 was long gone, and replaced with an 409 CID all aluminum stroker engine (see below for specs.). I have also had the engine totally rebuilt.

Power: 453 hp @ 5,800 rpm. with 461 ft.p. torque

This dyno run was before I did a complete rebuild of the engine and increased the compression from 10.25:1 to 11.3:1.

In an earlier version with a “wild” roller cam it dynoed 639 hp, but this was to “hot” for the street.

The engine was rebuilt by Ringspeed in Norway in May 1999
